Three spatula strokes in a row. The same spatula three times creates three unequal surfaces. Each of them is differentiated differently and yet all three convey something textile, material. Something rising in the wind seems to move there, fluttering. Thin cords that connect everything contrast with the broad surfaces, which also contain thin lines and look like old scraps of fabric. No line is too much, no surface too little. The white paper as support and ground becomes space and the seemingly lightly placed surfaces appear three-dimensional and realistic. This work is a response to the work „Fluttering in the Wind“ and continues the series Red on White.
Drei Spachtelzüge hintereinander gesetzt. Dreimal die gleiche Spachtel, lässt drei ungleiche Flächen entstehen. Jede davon ist anders differenziert und doch vermitteln alle drei etwas Textiles, Stoffliches. Etwas Aufsteigendes im Wind, scheint sich da flatternd zu bewegen. Dünne Schnüre, die alles verbinden, stehen im Kontrast zu den breiten Flächen, die ebenfalls dünne Linien enthalten und wie alte Stofffetzen aussehen. Kein Strich zu viel, keine Fläche zu wenig.Das weiße Papier als Träger und Grund, wird zum Raum und die scheinbar so leicht hingesetzten Flächen, wirken plastisch und realistisch.Diese Arbeit ist eine Antwort auf das Werk „Flattern im Wind“ und setzt die Serie Rot auf Weiß fort.
